Image: Sentinel Ridge at Wyalusing Park
Description: Sentinel Ridge is a bluff on the Wisconsin side of the junction of the Wisconsin River and the Mississippi. Pictured is a bear effigy mound in the lower left, with a linear mound behind it, with a procession of linear mounds not visible behind that. The water in mid-photo is the Mississippi, with Iowa on the other side. Sentinel Ridge is in Wyalusing State Park. A collection of mounds scattered around the area are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Wyalusing State Park Mounds Archeaological District.
