Description: Sgt. William Wilson, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was a winner of the U.S.Medal of Honor. One of only 19 members of the United States military to be awarded this honor twice, he received the award for the valor he displayed at Colorado Valley, Texas on March 28, 1872 and at Red River, Texas on September 29, 1872. He was a sergeant with Troop B of the U.S. Army's 4th Cavalry at the time of his death from stomach cancer at the Presidio of San Francisco on December 22, 1895.
