Description: Monument at Shiloh Memorial Cemetery dedicated to Bishop Francis Asbury, who delivered a sermon here in 1808. The plaque reads: On October 20, 1808, Bishop Francis Asbury preached in the small log church which had been erected on this site by the Methodist people of this frontier community sometime previous to that year. In subsequent years, the log church was replaced by two frame buildings which stood on nearby sites, and became known as the Shiloh Methodist Episcopal Church. The last building was removed in 1928.
