Description: Electric winch for raising and lowering the silo unloader. The winch motor itself is gear-reduced to approximately 5 RPM, which is further reduced in the winch housing itself. In the spring when the silo has been emptied, it takes a few hours to lift the unloader back to the top to prepare for filling. – The white tape is a position indicator to the winch operator to know when the unloader has reached the apex of the silo, and is visble from inside the barn about 40 ft away.
