Description: Owensmouth Southern Pacific Railroad Station — formerly located on 21355 Sherman Way at Canoga Avenue, in Canoga Park (formerly Owensmouth), western San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles. The station was built in 1912, in preparation of the 1913 founding of Owensmouth. It was one of the few Spanish Colonial-Mission Revival Style train stations in the Valley to survive into the late 20th century. It was declarded a Category:Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument on May 30, 1990. However, in 1995 it was severely damaged by a fire, and razed afterwards.
