Description: Spencerville Covered Bridge DeKalb County, Indiana August 10, 2007 The Spencerville Covered Bridge was built in 1873 by John A. McKay at a cost of $3,370 and it carries Mill Street (County Road 8) over the St Joseph River. It was extensively restored in 1990. This bridge has 4 main spans for a length of 146 feet. The structure of this bridge is a Smith #4 truss, developed by the Smith Bridge Company, Toledo, Ohio.
