Description: St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church (1888-89) in Madison, Wisconsin. Designed in a late 19th-century eclectic style by Madison civil engineer and architect John Nader, this church is the third-oldest Catholic parish in the city. It was dedicated on St. Patrick's Day in 1889, with Archbishop Heiss of Milwaukee in attendance. Since its construction by local builder Timothy McCarthy, the church has undergone several major alterations, including a widening of the entire structure in 1903. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
