Description: Some of the remains of Starbuck Park in Idledale, Colorado. The park is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it is technically one of the Denver Mountain Parks, but at this time the park is unorganized and there is no sign. The highway at the top is Colorado State Highway 74, and the road the photographer is standing on is Shady Lane. The former name of Idledale is Starbuck, and it had that name until 1933 when a flood almost completely destroyed the town. Upon rebuilding, the town was re-named to Idledale.
