Description: Convent at Goondiwindi, Queensland, 1924. The convent in Goondiwindi run by the Sisters of Mercy . It catered for both boarding and day students from Yr 1 to Yr 7.The old school building was used until December 1952, when the brick hall and classroom block were opened. In 1965 secondary schooling went to Yr 10. This department closed in 1972 and St Mary's continues as a primary school.
