The Statue of James Boswell is Grade II listed.

Statue of James Boswell. 1908. By Percy Fitzgerald. Ashlar with bronze figure and panels; wrought-iron railings. Plinth has 3 bronze relief panels of scenes of Johnson and Boswell. Front inscription: BOSWELL/ 1740:1795, below an armorial crest. Portrait medallions of Boswell's contemporaries to frieze. Inscription to rear. Statue in contemporary dress with sword and hat. Plain iron railings, some serpentine. Boswell was the friend and biographer of Dr Samuel Johnson; the statue was made and presented by Percy Fitzgerald, writer and sculptor, the biographer of Boswell.
