Image: Stegosaurus, American Museum of Natural History (7319157410)
Description: A full skeleton of an adult Stegosaurus as well as a few bones from a baby specimen. Stegosaurus, distinguished by its spinal scales, tail spikes, and pea-sized brain, was the key herbivore dinosaur of 149 million years ago.
Just two months earlier, I had visited a key Stegosaurus habitat and find - Dinosaur National Monument in northeastern Utah. Nice to see these again.
American Museum of Natural History is the largest museum of its kind, and alongside the Metropolitan Museum of Art, represents the ultimate in New York City museum experience.
