Description: Stephen Kevin "Steve" Bannon (born November 27, 1953) is an American former banker and filmmaker, who is currently serving as assistant to the President and White House chief strategist in the Trump administration. In this capacity, since January 28, 2017, he has been a regular attendee to the Principals Committee of the National Security Council. Prior to assuming the White House position, Bannon was the chief executive officer of Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. Before his political career, Bannon served as executive chair of Breitbart News, a far-right[i] news, opinion, and commentary website which Bannon described in 2016 as "the platform for the alt-right".[I] Bannon took leave of absence from Breitbart in order to work for the campaign. After the election, he announced that he would resign from Breitbart.

The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC; /ˈsiːpæk/ see-pak) is an annual political conference attended by conservative activists and elected officials from across the United States. CPAC is hosted by the American Conservative Union (ACU).[1] More than 100 other organizations contribute in various ways. In 2011, ACU took CPAC on the road with its first Regional CPAC in Orlando, Florida. Since then ACU has hosted regional CPACs in Chicago, Denver, St. Louis, and San Diego. Political front runners take the stage at this convention.
