Description: Theophilacti Scolastici Simocatti ep(isto)le morales, rurales et amatorie interpretatione latina. This translation of Theophilact's Greek poems into Latin is the only work Nicolaus Copernicus published himself. With the help of Lorenz Rabe, it was printed by Johann Haller in Cracow. The work is dedicated to his uncle, bishop Lucas Watzenrode: "Ad reverendissimum d(omin)um Lucam episcopum warmiensem Nicolai coppernici epistola." According to the German edition of "de revolutionibus"[1], the spelling Coppernicus is used in the original, while the Polish edition of "de revolutionibus"[2] prints it with a single p only.
