Description: A Didelphodon mandible found in South Dakota, now located in the permanent collection of The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. The discovery of the Didelphodon jaw is important because it is the first Didelphodon jaw containing teeth. The jaw will help scientists determine the size, position and number of its other teeth, and will serve as a useful comparison tool when studying other early mammals.
