Description: The Mother Orange Tree — the first planted and oldest living orange tree (Citrus sinensis cultivar) in Northern California. Originally planted in 1856 in Bidwell's Bar, at the western approach to the 1855 Bidwell Bar Bridge over the Feather River. Transplanted in 1964, near the also relocated historic bridge, with both now beside (instead of under) Lake Oroville, in Butte County. This is a photo of a place or building that is listed on the California Historical Landmark listing in the United States. Its reference number is 1043.
