Description: The Phoenix, a bronze statue by George Wagstaff, situated in Hartford Street, Coventry, West Midlands, England. The statue symbolises the rebuilding of Coventry after World War II. The plaque attached to the base of the statue reads; "This sculpture which symbolises the rebuilding of Coventry was unveiled in 1962 by H.R.H Princess Margaret. Re-cast in bronze 1983, and unveiled in June 1984 by the Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Coventry councillor W.S Brandish JP. Re-sited here 1987."
