Description: The Priory, Chacombe, Northamptonshire. The priory was founded here by Hugh de Chacombe, lord of the manor of Chalcombe in the reign of Henry II. After the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the 16th century it was replaced by a house, which was then remodelled in the 18th century.
