Description: The former Capel Bethesda from Penybryn Road It was this Congregational chapel (Annibynnol)in the High Street (or at least its simpler predecessor, built in 1823) which gave the town its name. The present structure with its highly ornate front was built in 1840. The former chapel has now been converted into flats and is known as Arafa Don.
