Description: Powdered zinc and sulfure are ignited together, forming a blue-green flame. This mixture has been used as a rocket fuel. A sponge-like residue of zinc sulfide remains; this compound is phosphorescent, and will glow in the dark after being 'charged' with ultraviolet light.
