Description: In 2006 the Tiburon fire department acquired a used 35 foot fireboat from LAFD. Two thirds of the cost were paid through a Port security grant from DHS. Original caption: “SAN FRANCISCO - A fireboat from the Tiburon Fire Department attempts to extinguish fires here Oct. 13, 2008. The Coast Guard and Tiburon Fire Department responded to fires that broke out on Angel Island Oct. 12, 2008. The CGC Sockeye acted as the On Scene Coordinator while Station Golden Gate transported firefighters and assets to the island.
