Description: A male "Common glider" (Tramea loewii) dragonfly of Australia, photographed in Darwin, Northern Territory. Identified by a reddish-brown abdomen with black tip, and saddle-like markings on the inner portion of the hind wing. It inhabits mostly still waters, and is often seen at some height above the ground. The female is a dull brown colour, with similar wing markings. The wing-span is 80-90mm. Until March 2015 it was known as Trapezostigma loewii.
