Description: A 7.3 metres high steel figure depicting Vulcan, the Roman god of fire, archetypal blacksmith and progenitor of metal sculpture. He fills the gallery space from the ground floor to the ceiling of the first floor. Half-man, half-machine, Vulcan embodies the industrial age.
