Slip #3 has been converted to a PCB Sediment Containment Cell, to safely hold sediment until it can be treated. Slip #4 has been converted for use by recreational boats. The Superfund sites remain listed on the National Priorities List. The sites are considered generally safe for the nearby public[4], but the sites themselves remain brownfields while final cleanup of the removed soil continues. Smaller contaminated areas nearby have occasionally been found.[5]
