Description: Part of 1965 build at the former Wilson Carlile Training College, Blackheath, London, England; now Blackheath High School. Note the white brick, black slate between windows and on sills, and metal window frames. The brick on the ground floor walls is a later addition, as are the blocks on either side. This was part of the same build designed by E.T. Spashett for Austin Vernon & Partners, which included the Church Army Chapel, Blackheath. If this 2009 image is compared with the 1964 image of the south elevation of the same dormitory block File:Wilson Carlile Training College 1964.jpg, it will be seen that the currently white-painted windows are not in sympathy with the original design, where the black window-frames created a bold, black and white striped building. However at this end of the block the metal windows are original; only the white paint and the brick-faced ground floor are new at the very end of the block.
