Joseph Cecil Marco (born October 4, 1988) is a Filipino actor and model. He is also a singer and endorser. Joseph Marco first became known for playing Santi Domingo in the TV series La Vendetta on GMA Network. Later, he became a Star Magic artist with ABS-CBN. There, he appeared in popular shows like Sabel, Honesto, Pasión de Amor, and played Diego Torillo in Wildflower. Before acting, he was in many commercials for products like E-Aji Dip Snax, Downy, and Head & Shoulders. He started his career in 2007 as one of the new talents launched by GMA Artist Center.

Early Life and Beginnings

Joseph Cecil Marco was born on October 4, 1988. He is the fourth of eight children in his family. He has an older sister, two older brothers, and four younger sisters. His aunt, Norma Marco, is a well-known anchor for DZMM radio.

Joseph finished high school at Faith Christian School in Cainta, Rizal in 2005. He did not go to college because he was discovered by his manager in Eastwood City. He was surprised when he passed his very first audition.

Starting His Acting Career

After his first commercial, Joseph appeared in more TV ads. These included commercials for Coca-Cola, E-Aji Dip Snax, and Downy. In September 2007, he signed with GMA Artist Center. He was one of the first new artists from his group to get a TV project. He joined the cast of the TV drama series La Vendetta. In this show, he played a smart teenager named Santi Domingo. Joseph also appeared as a guest on other GMA shows like Showbiz Central, SOP Rules, and Nuts Entertainment. In 2008, he played an assistant named Joseph in the fantasy TV drama Dyesebel.

Moving to ABS-CBN

In 2010, Joseph Marco moved to ABS-CBN. He was chosen to be one of the main actors in the ABS-CBN show Sabel. He played Raymond Sandoval, alongside Jessy Mendiola and AJ Perez. Joseph also appeared in several episodes of the TV show Maalaala Mo Kaya, which tells real-life stories.

In 2014, he played the main character, Dave Martinez, in the afternoon TV series Pure Love. He starred with Alex Gonzaga and Yen Santos in this series.

Recent Projects

In March 2015, Joseph became part of a new boy group called "Harana" on the show ASAP. His bandmates were Marlo Mortel, Bryan Santos, and Michael Pangilinan. Their first song was "Number One". He was also a main actor in the primetime series Pasión de Amor. This show was a Philippine version of the series Pasión de Gavilanes, and it started airing in June 2015.

In 2016, Joseph joined the cast of Dolce Amore. He played River Cruz, who became a new rival for Tenten's love for Serena. In 2017, he was cast as one of the main male leads in the ABS-CBN TV series Wildflower. Joseph played Diego Ardiente Torillo. His character's parents caused the death of the main female character, Ivy's, parents. Diego's character later challenged Ivy's plans, and they fell in love.

After taking a break from TV series for 10 months, Joseph joined the cast of Los Bastardos in 2019. This was another ABS-CBN TV series. Joseph played the lead role of Lorenzo Cardinal, one of Don Roman Cardinal's sons. In 2020, he played Avel Mansueto in the show Ang sa Iyo ay Akin.
