Linda Darnell Cooper-Suggs (born 1953) is an American politician. She used to be a member of the Democratic Party. She served in the North Carolina House of Representatives. From 2020 to 2023, she represented the 24th district. This district includes all of Wilson County.
Becoming a Representative
Linda Cooper-Suggs was chosen by Democratic party members in Wilson County. This happened on July 25, 2020. She filled a spot in the 24th House district. The previous representative, Jean Farmer-Butterfield, had left the position.
North Carolina's governor, Roy Cooper, approved her appointment. This approval came on July 27, 2020. She then ran for the same job in November 2020. She won the election on November 3, 2020.
She ran as a member of the Democratic Party. She received 53 percent of the votes. Her opponent, Mick Rankin from the Republican Party, received 47 percent.

Linda Cooper-Suggs ran for re-election in 2022. She was the current representative at that time. However, she did not win this election.
In the 2022 election, Ken Fontenot won the seat. He received 15,121 votes, which was about 54 percent. Linda Cooper-Suggs received 12,768 votes, about 46 percent.
