Masakazu Washida (鷲田 雅一, Washida Masakazu, born November 15, 1978) is a former Japanese football (soccer) player. He played as a defender during his career.

Masakazu Washida was born in Fukui, Japan, on November 15, 1978. He became a professional football player after finishing high school.
Starting His Professional Career
In 1997, Masakazu Washida joined JEF United Ichihara. This team played in the J1 League, which is the top football league in Japan. He stayed with the club until 1998 but did not play in any official matches during this time.
Playing in the J2 League
In 1999, Washida moved to Montedio Yamagata. This club had just been promoted to the J2 League, the second-highest league in Japan. He started playing many games as a central defender for Montedio Yamagata. By 2001, he had become a regular player, meaning he was a key part of the team. He played many matches for them until 2003.
Moving Between Clubs
In 2004, Washida returned to JEF United Ichihara. However, he found it difficult to get playing time there. The next year, in 2005, he joined Kyoto Purple Sanga, another J2 League team. His team won the J2 League championship in 2005 and moved up to the J1 League in 2006. Even though his team was successful, Washida did not play in many matches during these two seasons.
Return to Montedio Yamagata and Later Years
In 2007, Masakazu Washida went back to Montedio Yamagata in the J2 League. He played in many games for them again. In 2008, he moved to Tochigi SC, a team in the Japan Football League (JFL). The JFL is a league below the J1 and J2. He was a regular player for Tochigi SC, and the team was promoted to the J2 League at the end of the 2008 season.
After that, in 2009, he joined FC Ryukyu, another JFL club. He played many matches in 2009. However, in 2010, he did not play any games for FC Ryukyu. In June 2010, he moved to SC Sagamihara, a team in the Japanese Prefectural Leagues, which are regional leagues. Masakazu Washida retired from playing football at the end of the 2010 season. Throughout his career, he played in 255 league matches and scored 8 goals.
