News at Twelve was a fun British TV comedy show made for children. It first aired in 1988. The show was created by Cliff Francis and Jeremy Sinclair, who used the pen name Francis Sinclair.
This series was all about a 12-year-old boy named Kevin Doyle, played by Ewan Phillips. Kevin would create his own "news bulletins" every night. These news reports were about things happening in his own life. Sometimes, they even included events from his imagination!
The show's name, News at Twelve, came from Kevin's age. It wasn't about the time the show was on TV. Kevin's news often featured his funny basset hound dog, Baxter.
