History of Pease
Pease got its name from railroad officials. A post office was opened in Pease in 1894. It served the community for many years. The post office stayed open for exactly 100 years. It closed its doors in 1994.
Geography and Location
Pease is located in the southern part of Mille Lacs County. It is about 60 miles (97 km) north-northwest of Minneapolis. Minneapolis is one of the largest cities in Minnesota.
How to Get to Pease
U.S. Route 169 runs along the eastern edge of Pease. This highway connects Pease to other towns. If you go north on Route 169 for about 4 miles (6 km), you will reach Milaca. Milaca is the main town, or county seat, of Mille Lacs County. If you travel south on Route 169 for about 10 miles (16 km), you will arrive in Princeton.
