History of Pease

Pease got its name from railroad officials. A post office was opened in Pease in 1894. It served the community for many years. The post office stayed open for exactly 100 years. It closed its doors in 1994.

Pease is located in the southern part of Mille Lacs County. It is about 60 miles (97 km) north-northwest of Minneapolis. Minneapolis is one of the largest cities in Minnesota.
