Biography

Phương Thanh was born in a small town in Thanh Hóa Province, Vietnam. She was one of seven children in a family that faced many challenges.

When she was six, her family moved to Ho Chi Minh City. This city was once called Saigon. Her father passed away when she was thirteen. After his death, her family had money problems.
