Tobar (which used to be called Tovar) is a small town and a type of local government area called a municipality. It's found in the province of Burgos, Spain. This area is part of the Castile and León region. Tobar is about 35 kilometers (22 miles) northwest of the city of Burgos.

Tobar is a charming village nestled in a valley. It is surrounded by small hills. The Hormazuela river flows right through the village, moving from north to south.

The main way people make a living in Tobar is through farming. Farmers mostly grow cereals like wheat and barley. The soil in this area has a lot of lime. Even so, it is very fertile. This means farmers usually get good harvests almost every year.
Tobar's Climate
Tobar has what is called a continental climate. This means the weather can be very different between seasons. Winters are usually very cold. Temperatures can drop as low as -10 °C (14 °F). Summers, on the other hand, are often very hot. Temperatures can reach 35 or even 40 °C (95 to 104 °F). However, summer evenings are usually cool. The temperature can even fall to 10 °C (50 °F) at night.
