Early Life and Club Start
Yoshihito Yamaji was born in Higashimatsushima, Japan, on January 13, 1971. After finishing his studies at Kokushikan University, he began his professional football journey in 1993. He joined a team called Toshiba, which was part of the Japan Football League (JFL) at the time.
Becoming a Regular Player
During his first season with Toshiba, Yoshihito played in a few matches. By 1995, he had become a regular player for the team, usually playing as a central defender. He was an important part of their defense.
Moving to a Local Team
In 1996, Yoshihito moved to another JFL club called Brummell Sendai. This team was based in his local area, which was a special move for him. He quickly became a regular player for Brummell Sendai as well.
Promotion to J2 League
His team, Brummell Sendai, later changed its name to Vegalta Sendai. In 1999, the club achieved a big goal: they were promoted to the J2 League. This meant they would play in a higher division of Japanese professional football.
End of Career
In 2000, Yoshihito's chances to play in matches became fewer. He decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2000 season. Throughout his career, he played a total of 134 league matches and scored 5 goals.
