Chinyere Yvonne Okoro is a talented actress from Ghana and Nigeria. She has both Nigerian and Ghanaian roots, and she proudly calls herself an African. Yvonne Okoro grew up in Koforidua, a town in the Eastern part of Ghana.
She won the Best Actress Award at the Ghana Movie Awards in 2010. She was also nominated for the Best Actress award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2011 and 2012. These nominations were for her roles in the movies Pool Party and Single Six. Yvonne Okoro has also received four Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards. In 2012, she was honored with a special achievement award at the Nigeria Excellence Awards.

Early Life and Education
Yvonne Okoro was born to a Ghanaian mother and a Nigerian father. This means she has a mixed background. She comes from a very large family. She is the first child of her mother and the fifth among all her siblings.
From a young age, Yvonne showed a strong interest in acting. She attended several schools, including Achimota Preparatory School, Lincoln Community School, and Faith Montessori School. Later, she went to Mfantsiman Girls Secondary School.
After high school, she studied at the University of Ghana, Legon. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, focusing on English and Linguistics. She also studied in France at the Universite de Nantes. In France, she learned about Press Civilization, Drama, and Marketing.
Acting Career
Yvonne Okoro started her acting career in 2002. Her first movie was Sticking to the Promise, produced by Theo Akatugba. This was right after she finished high school. She also had a small role in the popular TV series Tentacles.
Since 2018, Yvonne Okoro has been the host of a show called Dining with Cooks and Braggarts. This is a celebrity cooking show. On the show, famous people cook their favorite foods and talk about different topics.
Awards and Recognition
Yvonne Okoro has received several awards for her work. In 2019, she was given the Glitz Africa Style Influencer of the Year award. This happened at the 5th Glitz Style Awards.
She also won the Best Radio and TV Personality of the Year award in 2019. This award was presented at the Women's Choice Awards.
Other Activities
Besides acting, Yvonne Okoro is also a businesswoman. She has her own company called Desamour Company Limited. She also owns other businesses, including a transport company.
Giving Back to the Community
Yvonne Okoro is also involved in helping others. In June 2019, she donated $10,000 to the Black Queens. This was the national women's football team of Ghana. She gave them the money for winning the bronze medal at the 2019 WAFU Zone B tournament.
In early 2020, she also donated items to the maternity ward. This was at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
