Mary Ann Wright was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She moved away from her birthplace when she was very young. Sadly, her mother passed away when Mary Ann was only five years old. After this, her aunts and other family members raised her. They were very religious and often walked long distances to go to church.

As Mary Ann grew up, she worked many different jobs. She got married and had a large family with 12 children. Life was not always easy for her. Because of a difficult situation at home, Mary Ann decided to move to California. Her children came with her to start a new life.

Awards for Helping Others

After moving to California, Mary Ann Wright felt a strong call to help others. She believed she received a special message in a dream, telling her to help hungry people. She listened to this message and continued her work of feeding those in need.

Her dedication and hard work did not go unnoticed. Mary Ann Wright received the Caring Award, which was inspired by the work of Mother Teresa. She was also honored by being included in the Hall of Fame for Caring Americans. Mary Ann Wright passed away at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and help for many.
