Adiel played mainly as a midfielder, helping his teams control the game and create chances. He also sometimes played as a striker, scoring goals. Early Days and Santos Success
Adiel began his youth career at Santos, a famous club in Brazil. He joined their senior team in 1997. He played for Santos until 2000.
After a short time playing in Japan, Adiel returned to Brazil. He played for Botafogo-SP in 2001. Then, he went back to Santos from 2002 to 2004. During his time at Santos, he was part of a team that achieved great things.
