Dutra started his football journey in his home country, Brazil. He played for several well-known clubs there.
Early Career in Brazil
He began his youth career at Bacabal-MA from 1990 to 1993. After that, he joined Paysandu in 1994. He then moved to Mogi Mirim and later played for Santos in 1997.
Playing for Top Brazilian Teams
Dutra continued to play for different Brazilian teams. These included América-MG in 1998 and Coritiba in 1999. He also had a second time playing for Santos in 2000. Before moving abroad, he played for Sport Recife from 2000 to 2001.
Time in Japan
From 2001 to 2006, Dutra played for Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan. This was a very important part of his career. He played many games for them and helped the team achieve great success.
Return to Brazil and Later Career
After his time in Japan, Dutra returned to Brazil. He played for Sport Recife again from 2007 to 2011. He also played for Santa Cruz in 2011-2012. Interestingly, he went back to Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan for a second time, playing there from 2012 to 2014.
