It first came out in 1930 in the United States. Back then, it was called Astounding Stories. It started as a "pulp magazine," which means it was printed on cheap, rough paper. These magazines were very popular a long time ago because they were affordable and full of thrilling adventures.
Over the years, the magazine changed its name a few times. For example, it became Astounding Science-Fiction in 1938. Later, in 1960, it changed to Analog Science Fact & Fiction, and then to its current name, Analog Science Fiction and Fact. Even with the name changes, it has always been a top spot for amazing science fiction stories.
