The Story of Charlotte's Quest
Charlotte's Quest Nature Center first opened its doors on May 3, 1995. Back then, it was called "Charlotte's Quest for the Outside World." The center was named after a wonderful retired teacher, Charlotte Collett. She had a big dream to create a place where everyone could learn about the natural world.
Honoring Charlotte Collett
In 2001, after Charlotte Collett passed away, the town of Manchester wanted to honor her. They voted to officially name the center "Charlotte's Quest Nature Center." This was a way to remember her vision and dedication to nature education.
