The Children's Museum in Easton is a super fun place in Easton, Massachusetts, where kids and families can learn and play together! It's especially designed for younger children, usually ages 1 to 5, but older kids can enjoy it too. You can find it inside an old firehouse at 9 Sullivan Avenue in North Easton. This museum has three floors packed with different activities that let you learn by doing. It's also located close to Stonehill College.

How the Museum Started

The Children's Museum in Easton began in 1986. Four moms from Easton, who had young children, wanted more hands-on learning experiences for their kids. They found the perfect spot: an old firehouse built way back in 1904.

By 1986, the firehouse hadn't been used as a fire station for many years. The town of Easton decided to sell it. The four moms suggested turning it into a museum for children. The town leaders, called selectmen, voted on the idea.

The vote passed! The museum promised to give $100,000 from its ticket sales back to the town. The moms didn't have big company sponsors at first. So, it took five years of hard work and fundraising events in the community. Finally, in 1991, the museum had enough support to open its doors!
