Chloé Robichaud (born January 31, 1988) is a Canadian film director. She is well-known for her first major film, Sarah Prefers to Run. This movie was shown for the first time at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
Early Life and Education
Chloé Robichaud was born in Cap-Rouge, Quebec. She studied filmmaking at the Mel Hoppenheim School of Cinema. This school is part of Concordia University. She finished her studies there in 2010.
Film Career
Robichaud's first full-length movie was Sarah Prefers to Run. This film was shown at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival. It was part of a special section called Un Certain Regard.
Web Series Work
In 2014, Robichaud created a web series called Féminin/Féminin. This series followed the lives of six young women in Montreal. It first had eight episodes. Later, in 2018, she directed a second season with eight more episodes.
Later Films
In 2015, Robichaud announced her next film, Boundaries. This movie tells the story of three women. Their paths cross in a made-up island country called Besco. This island is facing a big economic problem.
