Clarence Ahart Brooks (born in 1896, died in 1969) was an important American actor. He appeared in many films, often playing the main character. He was also a pioneer in the movie industry.

In 1916, Clarence Brooks helped create the Lincoln Motion Picture Company. He started this company with Noble Johnson and James Thomas Smith. This was a very early film company focused on making movies for African American audiences.

Clarence Brooks starred in the 1921 film By Right of Birth. Later, he was also featured in a 1989 documentary film called That's Black Entertainment. This documentary highlighted the history of Black entertainers.
