Cristóbal Mosquera de Figueroa (born in 1547, died in 1610) was a talented Spanish poet and writer. He was also a public official, serving as a corregidor in several important towns. A corregidor was like a mayor or governor in Spain during that time. They were in charge of local government and justice.
