Dr Mannah's is a company that makes yummy vegan cheeses. These cheeses are made without any dairy, usually from plants like cashew nuts. The company is located in Cuxhaven, a town in Germany. It was started in 2012 by a person named Mudar Mannah. Before it was called Dr Mannah's, the company had two other names: Happy Cashew and Happy Cheeze.
How Dr Mannah's Started
The company began in 2012. It was founded by Mudar Mannah, who was an orthopaedic surgeon. This means he was a doctor who helped people with their bones and muscles. One of the first shops to sell their products was Veganz, which has stores in Berlin.
At first, the company was called Happy Cheeze. From 2016 to 2018, it received 200,000 euros from a special fund. This fund was called the European Regional Development Fund. It helps different areas in Europe grow and improve. The money helped the company buy machines and equipment. These new tools were used to make more vegan foods.
In 2017, the company appeared on a TV show called Höhle der Löwen. This show is like the TV show Dragon's Den in other countries. On the show, people present their business ideas. They hope to get money from investors. Dr Mannah's won a deal for 500,000 euros. However, the deal did not happen later. This was because the company was not quite ready to grow so quickly. By 2019, Dr Mannah's had started selling its products in many parts of Europe. This included cities like London.
