Antônio Monteiro Dutra (born August 11, 1973), known simply as Dutra, is a former professional footballer from Brazil. He was a talented left-back, a player who defends on the left side of the field and also helps with attacks. Dutra played for many different clubs during his career, both in Brazil and Japan.

Dutra: A Football Star
Dutra started his football journey in Brazil. He was born in Duque Bacelar-MA. He began playing professionally in 1994. His skills as a left-back made him a valuable player for many teams.
Early Days and Brazilian Clubs
Dutra's first professional club was Paysandu in 1994. After that, he played for Mogi Mirim and then joined Santos in 1997. With Santos, he won the Torneio Rio-São Paulo trophy. He also played for América-MG and Coritiba, where he helped Coritiba win the Campeonato Paranaense in 1999. He returned to Santos briefly before moving to Sport Recife.
Adventures in Japan
In 2001, Dutra moved to Japan to play for Yokohama F. Marinos. This was a very important part of his career. He played there for five years, from 2001 to 2006. During this time, he helped Yokohama F. Marinos win the J.League Cup in 2001. They also won the J1 League championship twice, in 2003 and 2004. Dutra was recognized for his great play, being named to the J.League Best XI (a team of the best players) in both 2003 and 2004.
Back to Brazil and More Wins
After his time in Japan, Dutra returned to Brazil in 2007. He rejoined Sport Recife. He had a very successful period there, winning the Campeonato Pernambucano four times in a row from 2007 to 2010. He also helped Sport Recife win the Copa do Brasil in 2008, which is a major national cup competition.
Later, Dutra played for Santa Cruz in 2011 and 2012. With Santa Cruz, he won another Campeonato Pernambucano title in 2012. He then had a second period with Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan from 2012 to 2014, where he won the Emperor's Cup in 2013.
