2019 El Paso Women's Hall of Fame Inductees
The El Paso Women's Hall of Fame celebrates amazing women from El Paso. It honors their achievements and the big impact they've had on their community. The El Paso Commission for Women started this Hall of Fame in 1985. The very first group of women was honored in 1990.
Women who live in El Paso and have made a huge difference are chosen for this honor. The Commission asks the public to suggest names of women who deserve to be recognized. There are also four special honorary members: Herlinda Chew, Polly Harris, Drusilla Nixon, and Hedwig Schwartz. Some streets in El Paso are even named after women who are in the Hall of Fame!
