Sérgio Henrique Saboia Bernardes (born May 18, 1973), also known as Embu, is a former Brazilian football player. He played as a Midfielder.
Embu's Football Journey
Starting Out in Brazil
Embu began his football career in Brazil. He trained and developed his skills at the youth academy of Corinthians, which is a very famous football club. After his time in the youth teams, he joined the senior (main) team.
He played 65 games for Corinthians. Some of these games were in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, which is the top football league in Brazil. This was an important part of his early career.
Playing in Japan
After playing for Corinthians, Embu moved to Japan to continue his football career. In 1995, he joined a team called Verdy Kawasaki. This team plays in the J1 League, which is Japan's top football league.
During his time with Verdy Kawasaki, Embu played 10 games in the league. He was a midfielder, helping his team both in defense and attack.
