Eunice Bélidor was born in Montreal, Canada. Her parents came from Haiti. She studied art history at Concordia University, earning a special degree called a BA. Later, she continued her studies at York University. There, she earned an MA degree in Art History and Visual Culture.

Eunice Bélidor's Career in Art

Eunice Bélidor started her career at Articule Gallery in Montreal. From 2014 to 2019, she worked there as a curator and program organizer. After that, she became the director of the FOFA gallery at Concordia University.

In 2021, Eunice was chosen for an important job. She became the curator of Quebec and Canadian Contemporary Art. This was at the famous Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. This was a very special moment. She was the first Black curator in the museum's long history.

Eunice left the museum in January 2023. She has since talked about the challenges of being the first Black curator. She mentioned how important it was for museums to include more diverse voices.
