Province of Guadalajara facts for kids
Guadalajara is a province in central Spain. It's located in the northern part of the region called Castilla–La Mancha. A province is like a large area or state within a country. An autonomous community is a region in Spain that has its own government.
The name Guadalajara comes from Arabic words. It means "streambed of stones" or "valley of stones." As of 2013, about 257,723 people lived there. The number of people living in the province has grown over the last 10 years.
