The Hat 'n' Boots is a really cool and giant roadside attraction in Seattle, Washington. It's a famous spot in the Georgetown neighborhood. Imagine a huge cowboy hat and two giant cowboy boots!

An artist named Lewis Naysmith designed this unique place. An architect, Albert Poe, helped with the building plans. It was built in 1954 as part of a gas station that looked like something from the Wild West. This gas station was called Premium Tex. It was open for business from 1954 until 1988.

People say the Hat 'n' Boots are the biggest hat and cowboy boots in all of America! To keep this special landmark safe, the City of Seattle moved it. In December 2003, the Hat 'n' Boots found a new home in Oxbow Park.

Hat 'n' Boots in Movies

This giant hat and boots have even been in movies! You can spot them in the opening credits of the film National Lampoon's Vacation. They also appeared in a movie called Hype!.
