Description: Palace of Kamehameha. The Southeastern Part of the Town of Hanarua (Honolulu) at Oahu, Sandwich Islands, May 1826. Pictured Haleuluhe, the palace of King Kamehameha III at Pelekane, on the site of the present St. Andrew's Cathedral. Honolulu wasn't the capital at the time, although it remain a seat of power and was constantly visited by the Hawaiian monarch in order to deal with foreigners.
